Mingsun Zhou

Zhou Mingsun is born on November 16, 1940, in Shanghai. He is a pianist, piano educator, and critic. He is the doctoral supervisor in piano teaching of Beijing Normal University, a member of the National Piano Expert Committee, the deputy director of the Social Music Committee of Chinese Musician Association, and the chief editor of the National Piano Level Evaluation Coursebooks. He has published over 130 publications. He is the author of the book Piano Level Evaluation and Piano Pedagogy, which is one of the milestones in the history of piano education in China. Being an active judge, Professor Zhou appears in many national and international piano competitions.
